Since I was unconcious, I had no muscle tone, and since I was 6 foot 2 inches tall, this provided a lot of kinetic energy to absorb. Well, I am now a full inch shorter. 2 displaced fractures in my neck, 1 fracture in my back, and 1 rib fracture. Was very lucky not to have a brain bleed as I am taking Eliquis, a "blood thinner". Greatful to have avoided surgery as one of the neck fractures was a facet joint. I wore this $1000 4 post orthotic brace (Aspen Vista) for over three months. I am now weaned off of wearing the brace and am doing physical therapy. My neck still feels very strange if I try to move it, some pain, but not much.

I am slowly working on 3 different projects for Disruptive Wind while I recover.

First is completing at least my 10th prototype on a water related invention that has broad applications, so much so that I can coin the pun "swimming in oppurtunity", a Shark Tank phrase.

Second is a "new" accounting system that will facilitate certain business activities. Early stages, but doing real world testing. Potential AI applications.

Third is negotiating a contract for Disruptive Wind with a Federal Government agency to perform certain ongoing tasks that I have a developed, through innovation, a particular skill set that is very efficient and productive. I can do work for 20% percent of the usual cost but I don't want to be employed as such, because I have a business to run, health concerns as far as scheduling time, and want to be my own boss.

This is all I can say for now, as all 3 are requiring secrecy to be successful for Disruptive Wind. It is a MICRA single chamber LEADLESS pacemaker from Medtronic. He had a 2-chamber pacemaker with 2 leads previously and ended up fracturing both leads ultimately which led to a serious malfunction of the unit which damn near killed him. He was, and still is, a very active person, and was our prime prototype tester, so you could say that he suffered a near fatal work injury!

It is quite probable that his duties on behalf of Disruptive Wind caused one lead to fracture last year and then the other to fracture last month (March 2022). The great news is that he almost fully recovered and now has NO leads to worry about. This is vital for our prototype testing and experimentation. We wish could talk about the projects we are working on currently, but we are looking to Disrupt an area of high focus right now. Secrecy is imperative. Greetings,
We have leapt so far ahead of the pack that I have trouble even hinting what we are doing. That's why there has not been a blog post in awhile. The budget is almost entirely secret Research and Experimentation right now. I expect little change on this for awhile. Health and life challenges are slowing us down considerably recently, but we shall continue to plug along!

We have a new business model that I do expect not to change much, because it is now based on unpredictable change. This business model is so unique that the model itself classifies as one of our greatest inventions.

As for my recent inventions/discoveries, I will give a hint and say that the quantum physics community is "unhappy" with me as I rock their boat. Too bad! I have seen the light!
Greetings,
It's a new year and Disruptive Wind is a new company!
Well, it's still called Disruptive Wind, but we have re-invented who we are and where we are going.
Actually, we will be doing more
meta-game analysis (<colored, these are links to other web pages)
as things progress.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped me, and this company, to be the success it is today. I am also thinking of my father,
Russell Jackson Schulz, and my grandfather,
Gustav Otto Schulz, whose inventing ,tinkering, nurturing, and genetics have influenced me tremendously.

I was a clinical laboratory scientist as my career choice, which was cut short by health challenges that almost cut my life short as well. Taking care of my declining health became a full time job in itself and social security disability seemed to be the logical next step. Unfortunately, taking this next step would have been mortally stressful so luckily I took the innovative path instead! A win-win-win for all concerned! Since then, I have taken two huge gambles on highly risky heart surgeries that most of my doctors advised against. I almost died of complications from the first one but I am here now to tell you these were good decisions!

My priorities remain health, family, and Disruptive Wind, in that order and they are all related. It's pretty obvious to those close to me that this new career absorbs an even higher percentage of my available energy than lab medicine did. The needs of the business have often threatened my precarious balance in life. My 2018 resolution is to maintain a better balance and plan the long game with a financial win. I will do all I can to keep myself alive and healthy, as well as my family and my business. These are my responsibilities and I take them quite seriously.

That's me in the picture! Behind the kite. That's Jasmine in the water. She taught me how to kite-board, along with some others, all of whom I'd like to thank here.
After careful consideration, Disruptive Wind decided to provide the time and resources to have me finally learn to kite-board as soon as possible, so this endeavor was undertaken the later half of 2017. The purpose was to have me learn from an inventor's point of view. The process was done scientifically and with specific goals in mind. The kiting market is now much larger than the windsurfing market and is relatively much younger. I had ideas prior to learning but it is harder to invent from "outside" and certainly one has less credibility. I made some big missteps in the early windsurfing foil market and although Disruptive Wind's influence was undeniably positive for speeding introduction locally, we are going to do it right this time with kiting! We have a number of new ideas that will "blow" you away!

FYI, "I" and "we" are often used in this blog, often seemingly interchangeably. "I" write the blog. "We" make decisions, sometimes it's "I". There are other folks and intelligences involved. Please bear with "us", thanks.

Here's the email: disruptivewind@gmail.com
Here's the address: PO Box 2388 Gearhart, Oregon 97138-2388
We are on Facebook, please like and follow Disruptive Wind . Fast way to message me.
Here's the website: www.disruptivewind.com Yes, it leads to this blog. If we ever do a retail start-up there will be a web-site that satisfies my ego, gets the job done properly, and wows the customer without annoying them. We have contemplated a business to business web-site (password protected) but there is no budget for that right now.

Speaking of budgets, we have funding for this year already and funding lined up for the next few years. If we make a "big move", investors stand ready to jump in. If you want to donate (note: we are for-profit) to our research, we'll be happy to take it, send a check! Or a bundle of cash! We'll also consider other ideas. What do you need / want invented?
Try us... Inventor for hire!
Both I, and Disruptive Wind, operate under very strict financial control. That control will be even more effective in the future as we will be operating smarter, as we have learned much from our experiences in life as both as a person and a business. I have always been very frugal except when money was easier to come by, back then, spending money was used to save time. Now, time is used to save money (I make my own granola and cut my own hair). It is a priority NOT to have the business fail due to running out of money or by being "forced" into a panic push for revenue.

Still here? Yes, I am going to work my way closer to the title topic.
I am an inventor.
We are going to focus on my strengths as an inventor and generate inventions and then profit from those inventions by selling, licensing, or partnering. This means thinking up ideas, testing them, and developing/refining if needed/possible. Patents when appropriate, trade secrets if that works. I have a great patent available: Dynamic Foot Repositioning Systems Much development past the patent but still within scope. For sale or exclusive license. We will be doing more research and experimentation/development work to make it a better invention this year (at which point I will blog about it). However, Emma (the love of my life) has lost faith in the idea after a major potential investor proclaimed
"windsurfing is DEAD, move on". Another potential investor, and mentor, has told me this about kiting "it's still a small market in the scheme of things, you are not thinking big enough!"

SO, we opened it wide open. Creating system for managing categories, ideas, research, experiments, with highest security. Ideally, it would be great to have an invention/product worthy for the Sharks to fight over. FOMO (fear of missing out, ground floor gold rush). So now I have to confess/brag that I have been inventing stuff for decades as a hobby, I have been reading and studying my entire life (ever since I could read) and find science fascinating. I try to keep up on all the latest discoveries. An incredible amount of new science during my lifetime! Early on, I never thought to patent anything. I was always pleased when one of my ideas appeared in a magazine or on a store shelf. Later, I did consider going somewhere with an idea, but one after another, the same idea would be "stolen" from me by someone else being faster than yours truly. I once dated a doctor who was impressed that I was studying quantum physics "for fun" but yet did not know how to dress properly. Still mostly true. Emma will confirm.

We inventors are a strange lot. Check this guy out:

I have developed a different technique. Perhaps I should patent it. The title of the patent would be something like this: "Program for Enhanced Inhibitory Control and Amplification of Cognitive Epiphanies by Strategic Use of Anandamide,
2-Arachidonoylglycerol, Theobromine, and Contextual Plasticity." The use of Mimetic Analogs for Anadamide and 2-Arachidonoylglycerol would be covered by the patent as well. I am dead serious. And no, I do not have to risk being dead.
Why have I not patented this? Well...

That's right. The Federal Government of the USA has forbidden research on this topic. And so we finally arrived at the title topic!
I would also love to tell you about the dramatic experiment I did on a remote island that was actually forbidden science* of a different flavor. I now think best not to talk about it. Sorry. I had originally came up with this blog title because the "forbidden" science I was intending to talk about was * Pseudoscience. I have performed research and experiments on subjects that fall into this category, some with surprising success. This is a ripe area for patenting and inventions but there is a real challenge at the money end. Nobody wants to get scammed, how would I distinguish myself successfully? An area to tread carefully. Would be nice to create/prove new science. Then everyone wins and you are famous!

Here is another challenging area:
GOVERNMENT SECRECY ORDERS
If a patent has national security implications, it can be blocked.
Even if a patent would favor another country economically, it could be blocked.
I have a great idea I would love to patent. It's so awesome I can not believe it's not patented and/or in everyone's home. My paranoid self has determined it COULD fall under this category, even though I disagree it SHOULD. This is one of the reasons we need to be working on multiple ideas.
Another reason is that I could file a patent tomorrow, yet someone else could have filed the same invention today. It would be almost 2 YEARS before I found out the bad news. Part of my job is to check all the recent patent applications published every few months in my areas of interest. And when I do file a patent, it can be challenged ANYTIME after publishing FOR THE LIFE OF THE PATENT, if it can be shown someone else had already published a similar idea. And patents can overlap/infringe which can lead to a real mess. I spend a LOT of time doing patent searching. This process is not easy. One does not just simply Google it, although a good place to start.
Click on Bierstick for a "fun" invention.
I thought of a great idea in this same category, a sure thing I thought (found out later that my idea was already on the market). Not sure if this could be patented but it fails the MORAL IMPERATIVE.
I am simply NOT going to patent something that is WRONG, encourages BAD behavior, can be weaponized, or threatens the government / criminals/ corrupt large corporations/etc. or gives anyone motivation to harm me or my family in any way. Seems self-evident but I did have one invention that I wasted time on only to then realize it fell into this category. I think more ahead now.

Yes, it's the

This category is of inventions that either can not be patented or are not worth patenting due to unlikely/uncertain sufficient market acceptance. Can easily be knocked-off (copied). Some of these surprise everyone and end up on Shark Tank. Some are only successful BECAUSE they were on Shark Tank. Take the money and run!

These are the easiest to invent and I will admit to a number of these ideas.

I will try to exhibit a high degree of inhibitory control.

Long post! I'll use now to get a chance to talk about my very recently invented Broot (TM) which may actually fall into one of these no-no categories. We'll see after I build and do some experiments with a prototype.

Welcome to 2018!

Here is an update of where we are at.
The silver lining is that Disruptive Wind is still going strong and has made a real difference in my life, as well as having significant, behind the scenes, impact worldwide. I am very optimistic for the future of this company as we continue to expand our intellectual properties, databases, scientific and industry knowledge, and explore new areas.
The company continues to be cash flow negative, but this is intentional. We have a number of business plans that, if pursued, would result in revenue generation potentially leading to net profitability. However, the problem is the word "potentially". And that has sunk many a business.
The largest issues to growing a business "organically" are right at the start. One has to make a leap through a ring of fire

which is almost impossible to go back through, should things not pan out.

I will briefly run through why "making a little money" is a nightmare that I wish to avoid.

-Recordkeeping: The burden is high as it is, but with an active business, becomes almost an FTE in itself. FTE is Full Time Equivalent, also known as "one employee". More about FTE's later.

-Time: Running a start-up takes massive amounts of time, time which would no longer be available for inventing, researching, experimenting, and all the many other things keeping me extremely busy already. I could hire another FTE to do this as well, but then I am managing the 2 FTE's and would no doubt get sucked in as the business grows; there is never enough manpower.

-Legal: The modern regulatory requirements for new businesses are severe. I can invent at home and experiment out in the world but I am absolutely forbidden from operating a home business that manufactures or has customers coming in and out. Insurance would be required, renting property to house the business, government inspections, permits, licences, business accounts, and even more FTE's to do the work.

-Equity and control: The money, division of labor, and legal liability would mean transitioning to a corporation business structure. To obtain the needed money would involve loans and/or giving up equity. Both would entail loss of the absolute control I enjoy now.

-Risk: Most start-ups fail. Shark Tank type investors want businesses that have leapt through the ring of fire and are now indisputably on their way to huge profits. In the past, we have only focused on areas with niche or narrow markets, with moderate profit potential, not huge. We now see why this appears to have been a mistake, but I will say that the ride was worth it to get us to where we are now. Bottom line on this item: I do not see a clear path yet for prior inventions except for quite possibly the MoaB (TM) repositioner (which needs further inventing to solve it's largest drawback).

-Experience: This is my third business. My first was Peter and Eddies Studio, a partnership with the famous Fast Eddie that basically involved a crazy plan to sponsor the Oregon band MZT and failed miserably with the very first concert at the Seaside Convention Center.

My second business was P & R Agronomics, a S corporation that pioneered a new way to grow Shiitake mushrooms with a fantastic business model that provided significant revenue from fresh mushrooms, dried mushrooms, and DIY kits. This successful business was terminated due to the inability to scale and grow organically. I was unwilling to take the risks involved in a leap bigger vs. a job offer that assured a comfortable income and much less stress. It was a wise decision as we would have ultimately been doomed as a key supplier/local industry later failed.

Back to the current business: I have learned a lot and continue to learn. Biding my time and getting it right will pay off. The proper idea can be sold or licensed to others with minimal risk.

-Taxes, Money, and Health Insurance: This is where the title of this blog post applies. Sadly, the USA is in crisis right now as our for-profit health care system is collapsing with the encouragement of our corrupt government. Our economy is at risk as well as the wealth imbalance continues to worsen, again with the help of our corrupt government. Did I mention that our government is corrupt?

The fact that my business has to directly bear the cost of my own health coverage, as well as that of any FTE's I hire, is the single largest impediment to the success of Disruptive Wind. The tax structure comes in at a close second, with the corrupt government only seeking to make things worse (except for Bernie Sanders, of course, who continues to fight the good fight). My current effective marginal tax rate is OVER 100%! To bring in a single dollar in revenue (or decrease loss) actually would cost me over a dollar. Hundreds means hundreds+ more. Same with thousands. It would take many tens of thousands of dollars of revenue before there would even be a chance of coming out ahead.

Bigger losses do not help, however, and there may be a way to manage a balanced income/loss situation that maintains the precious stability I have worked so hard to achieve.

I'll shed some light about what (and why) Disruptive Wind is now excitedly working on, as well as some thoughts on some amazing results of secret experiments done on a remote tropical island recently by me, in my next blog post tentatively titled " Forbidden Science and the Moral Imperative'.

This is how shit happens: looked at a bunch of different stuff on the internet during breakfast; my usual routine includes some Facebook time as well. Not surprisingly, I made some new friends/contacts and learned some good stuff. Then it's onto the loo while pondering and boom: a new crazy million dollar idea that seems absurdly obvious in retrospect, pulling together various bits and pieces of what I had just seen.
Project Retork is born!
Watersport related.
Will it be flushed and never make it to market?
It's my job to find out...Peter Schulzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06551052015690243802noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7798452808513333595.post-52156540769268991632017-04-23T21:53:00.000-07:002017-04-23T21:53:32.264-07:00KISS

Greetings!
It's now well into 2017 and I could not be more excited!
I apologize for the LONG duration since my last post, things did not go according to my hopes and it was a rough winter here in the Pacific Northwest of the USA.
Spring is here now though and my energy level is now HIGH!

We have been working on a lot of different projects, and considering a lot of different directions. Time is flying by, and I want to make the most of it. I hope to recognize when it's time to focus!

OK, so the active water-sport space is getting a lot of attention lately.
This is great for our business,
I have seen a number of ideas we have considered now taking off, and I see the future coming closer for others.

Development work, R&D, and showcasing will continue for the MoaB (TM) repositioner. If you want to try one, buy one, or license the patent: disruptivewind@gmail.com.
E-mail the same address if you want us to showcase and/or distribute/resell your awesome new water related toy/sport/etc.. We expect a lot of field testing again this summer. We will also be showcasing in public places as well, with slow times before and after our field tests, we have a "captive" audience for introducing new stuff. Besides, I admit I enjoy being "mobbed" and talking about new toys.

Which brings me at last to the prime topic and exciting prospect that is the reason for the KISS title and pictures. I have had a grand vision for many years of a "new toy" that has the potential to disrupt the industry in a very positive way. I am watching very closely as others bring out new products that are super cool, but I fear for their success. We have learned a lot about the marketplace and what folks want. I have also learned that I MUST be passionate about what I am working on and that the end result must be affordable, and, above all, FUN!
Tech continues to excite, be it drones , foils, carbon fiber, wearables, or whatever.
I am seeing some serious scope creep as some new products try to adopt all the latest, and become very expensive in the process.
Recently, I was pricing out what it would take to make a prototype of my latest top secret idea and what the end product might cost the consumer.
Thousands, many thousands!
And then it hit me ; KISS!
KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!
I can test this concept for a whole lot less by using old school, off the shelf and/ or out of the dumpster stuff. Except for one little brand new idea, without which I would look like some sort of crackpot.
(The brand new idea gets the patent, and may disrupt more than just water-sports. Saying no more...)
If I am spotted early on, I will be seen as that Crazy Inventor Guy, and hopefully ignored. No one will know what I am really up to until later.
We will use the information gathered from initial field testing to evaluate just how high tech we need to go to create the initial consumer product. It is likely the tech will become more refined, robust, tested, proven, and less expensive. We will enter the sweet spot quickly and dominate the initial market.
You heard it here first!
ALSO, this time around, my latest idea can be summed up and explained in only TWO WORDS!

It may be awhile before my next post, no news is good news, right?
Unless I have information you need to know...
Have a great summer! - PeterPeter Schulzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06551052015690243802noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7798452808513333595.post-30206893803503232182016-08-13T10:47:00.000-07:002016-08-13T10:47:54.488-07:00Unanswered questions = Hard Work!

Update: Welcome to new visitors. I am "temporarily" using a blog as the company's website.
Obviously, we will have a more traditional website going as we bring products to market.
I have been extremely busy expanding the companies IP (Intellectual Property) portfolio (patents, etc.) and conducting field experiments to answer questions (research and experimentation) about various inventions.
There are 3 main areas of focus that some of the public is aware of:
MoaB (TM) repositioner Patent # 8,870,615 (USA)
Bernie-boarding
EasyFoil (TM)

We have decided upon windsurfing as the sport to test and introduce these innovations, although other sports may be impacted as well.
On August 9, 2016 . I tested a proof of concept EasyFoil (TM) board that proved our latest shallow water foiling innovation works in low wind / flat water conditions quite nicely. So smooth and quiet, I went halfway across the river without even bothering to look where I was going! This is because I was busy videoing the board, water surface, interaction with the foil, etc.. I am not going to give specifics prior to patent publication, but I will tell you that we have the ONLY foil out there that protrudes no more than 15 inches (40 cm) below the bottom of the host board. We have the ONLY foil out there that is DESIGNED to operate just below the water's surface that WILL NOT suffer catastrophic loss of lift should it surface briefly by passing through the trough of a wavelet. I documented this last Tuesday as I traveled hundreds of meters dead flat just below the water surface.
I am so excited by this accomplishment that I will be "disappearing" for a couple of weeks to revise our business plan once again and to design future prototypes. I think it is likely that we will finally incorporate and/or partner/merge with another company. I think it is likely we will increase the size of our team and that another round of financing will be sought. It is possible that we will license to others some of our inventions. I know a lot of hard work is ahead and am very excited to get to it!

P.S. We have yet to create a Bernie-boarding, MoaB, or EasyFoil video from the dozens of hours acquired during recent field sessions. We intend to record more video (and from different view angles, still looking for a wind capable drone!) with an aim toward high value promotional videos. The "problem" is each session provides so much more "better/cooler" material as new concepts and prototypes are tested. Unfortunately, video editing/creation may have to wait until after the local windy season ends. My apologies!Peter Schulzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06551052015690243802noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7798452808513333595.post-53468923079785601352016-06-09T11:13:00.000-07:002016-06-09T11:13:37.359-07:00I have the best job!

Wow, we have been blessed with more field session opportunities than we can handle. EVERY time a Bernie board hits the water, we learn something new. Most recently, we discovered "Stallion" mode, as rearing up is a very effective way to deal with an unwanted gust!
Also, we have more inventions in the works as the ideas keep coming.
Boredom is the least of my worries! From Facebook today:

Bernie-boarding update/summary: It works.
We are actively debating the path forward*.

We are learning a lot with every test session, each which has a set of defined goals.
16 MPH of wind has proven to be the best for "gliding" mode for the latest Dream Dare prototype. Multi-modal use with the same watercraft without needing to change or adjust ANYTHING is the true strength of this innovation, in my opinion.
The team strongly believes that, although this can be taken completely into a new sport altogether, we should focus on tying it to an existing sport to ease entry for early adopters.

*There are drawbacks and challenges that can be ignored and a product introduced to the market this summer (Shark Tank argument, make money!) .
Or, we could explore more, invent more, and wait for a "perfected" product, since we have effectively no competitors.
Hopefully, another round of prototypes and testing will give us the data we need to clarify our path!

Greetings from the future! I think. Therefore, I am.

Wow, a crazy place to be at. I am compelled to post an update after yesterday's incredible events.
Let's start from the start and just maybe this will make some sense.

I am an inventor. Also a product developer. Possibly an entrepreneur. Certainly a water-sports enthusiast.
I had a crazy idea that arose through lucid dreaming that morphed into a sizable group of inventions, which I am working on combining into one extreme watercraft.
This new watercraft is not a typical "evolutionary" type improvement over what already exists. It's more of a leap into a new realm of possibilities. Common sense, "rules of thumb", even conventional physics, all indicate this thing should not work. I like to use a starship / warp drive euphemism when discussing this thing. Rather than just saying "this thing" all the time.

I have built some "test platforms" because to say prototype is too generous and would be deceiving. What I have built is nowhere near what an actual product would even look like. Or so I thought.

Dream Dare 1, 2 and 3 is what I call them. I have built them and done some initial real world testing under the best secrecy that can be managed these days.
Dream Dare 1 was a success after traveling the first 20 feet under impulse power. It floats, it moves, I am able to pilot it! I was very surprised and amazed. There were a huge number of configuration decisions to be made so I expected to have to try a number of different set ups before finding one that worked. So lucky. I will humbly take credit for some skill as well.
So Dream Dare 1 worked fine under impulse power. There are a lot of operational modes. More than I anticipated. I immediately went from impulse power to glide mode. Glide mode is all the rage these days, in a related field of endeavor that is seeing renewed interest. I expected glide mode to be the main operational mode of this starship, which I would then refine until my "hoped for" goals were met. Glide mode is smooth, easy, relatively safe. My starship is hoping to have the best glide mode in the universe. My glide mode is going to love chop and waves and be easy on the joints.
Then there is warp drive. Who doesn't want to go fast at some point? Well, after a short time in glide mode, I kicked into warp drive. This was not the plan. I was supposed to get comfortable navigating around and yet here I am heading all the way across the mighty Columbia River and kicking it into warp drive. It was just so easy. Well, it just worked. Exciting. Easy transitions between modes.
I exhausted myself quickly. Went home and readied Dream Dare 2 (DD2).

DD2 was focused on going extreme with glide mode. My initial guess at a configuration was way off, I believe. Might have been the conditions but, in any event, it did not work well. The shock wave I was hoping to ride (ride your own wave!) intersected incorrectly and threw the whole balance off. Reality is beginning to set in, along with some doubts. But it is very early and I am still quite excited and motivated so I came up with a plan for DD3.

I got DD3 out for a test day before yesterday. Conditions were good initially but soon worsened. There was also a group of ships out showing off how fun their glide mode was working. I know one of the captains so I was leery about secrecy. So I stayed mostly under impulse power with a little bit of glide mode and a blast of warp drive when I thought no one was looking. That warp drive sure is addictive and fun! I was very happy to be so proficient on a "first time" test platform in just minutes. I became a master at impulse power just cruising around all over the place and finally called it a day.

Now for yesterday! Conditions were great. No one around anywhere. How could this be? Fools!
But great for me. Kicked it into warp drive immediately and spent a lot of time there over the course of the day. Tried out some other modes. Some worked, some need work on test platform configuration or piloting skills. The evasive mode I was very excited about during initial conception eludes me so far. This does not surprise me, I expect the most work, and largest payoff, to be in pursuing this mode. Expect this to be a surprise later if it works. There are a lot of secret modes not discernible by simply looking at the physical structure. That's one of the things that has me so excited. It does more than you can even imagine, myself included.

So yesterday I am having a great time exploring warp drive and various new modes of operation, including reverse edging mode (utilizes a hidden control surface). There is a super secret mode I will call trans-dimensional warp (TD warp). Very dangerous and certainly very extreme. I had envisioned this possibility early on but planned on having a refined prototype and support crew before daring it. I don't even have a good plan for transitioning out of it. WELL, everyone can chew me out big time for doing this, but conditions were just right, with no one around. I just could not help myself.

Kicked it into TD warp and WOW! Just a little bit, not really full on, I was blown away by how exciting and fun this mode was, So I just went for it - maximum TD warp!
Well, my poor little DD3 could not take the strain as I reached unthinkable speed and there was a warp core breach / crash. The destruction was staggering (over a thousand dollars in damage), the pain was intense. Yet, both I and DD3 functioned well enough that I used regular warp drive all the way home! DD3 will have to be rebuilt and future captains will have to be warned. TD warp will remain a super secret mode for quite some time to come.

In conclusion, there is no doubt in my mind I have created a new watercraft/sport. It may not ultimately meet all my design criteria but certainly meets enough of them to justify continued pursuit (and IP protection). This is an extreme design and will not be for everyone. I'm OK with that, I never thought it would be.
But I bet a lot of folks will be wanting to try it. I'll try to make that happen as soon as I can. - Peter
Just posted on Disruptive Wind Facebook page:

"As many of you already know, I am obsessively working night and day on a top secret project involving water based transportation. I feel like I am in some sort of alternate universe where I am starring in a B movie trying to create a warp drive in my backyard shed. Nobody with any smarts would be trying to do what I am going after. It's too difficult, dangerous, expensive, impractical, After all, one normally does rocket science to go to places like Mars, but I just want to get to New York....! "

As usual, my idea was easy to expand on and get excited about. But in practice, I have run head on into the realities of the real world. Needing to heed the laws of chemistry and physics. Utilizing only limited resources, while maintaining utmost secrecy, this has been perhaps my greatest challenge yet. Way behind on my timetable. Yet I continue because I owe it to myself, and the universe that has supported me so nicely, to see where this goes. Bear with me, thanks! And vote for Bernie Sanders!
Congratulations to Bernie Sanders! Hopefully, he can lead us on a new path here in the USA.

Speaking of new paths, a funny thing happened on the way to bringing the Instigator (TM) to the world.
I literally dreamed up a better idea.

Inventing is usually goal driven. After all, why would invent unless there was a problem to solve, a need to address, an end result envisioned, etc.. The Instigator (TM) fell into that category. The idea was to combine some "new"concepts and achieve a new end result that would be "better" than products already on the market. The "I can do that better" type thing.

Ideas are easy. Product development: DIFFICULT. A lot of criteria to meet ; buildable, practical, affordable, marketable, durable, on and on... As questions and hurdles arise, things become more complicated and usually compromises are made, The goal ends up changing, Reality steps in and tells you what can end up with. At some point you may end up saying
"but that's not what I envisioned"!
You consider whether to just kill it and move on.

This was starting to happen with the Instigator (TM). The math and physics was driving me crazy. When entering new territory, sometimes there is just not enough "known science" to do successful modeling. Then you have to do extensive experimentation to advance your scientific knowledge. I love doing this; often discoveries are made that spawn new ideas and inventions, or sometimes you circle back to someone else's idea or worse, reach a total dead end. Well, this is a business, not a hobby, and it was becoming apparent that the risk/reward ratio was not encouraging. I could put a lot of effort into this and not get there. Always a risk, but I hope I am learning from the past and making better decisions based on prior experience.

So I had a hard look at what the end result criteria were i.e. what did I want to accomplish?
I wanted to use "discoveries" from the sports of surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kite boarding, windsurfing, skiing, snowboarding, and <not disclosing> to create a new exciting watercraft that will accomplish my performance goals and be visually stunning to watch. I want everyone that sees it in action to be astonished and envious. I want it to be an obvious winner!

Coincidentally, I have been experimenting (as a hobby) with lucid dreaming and meta-programming of the human mind. Mind blowing stuff! Kinda sorta the stuff one does not really talk about, lest thought of as going off the deep end! As in losing it, wacko, crazy. Yes, I am preparing you for something extraordinary.

First however, I look at this "problem" as a giant "equation" of ideas as "variables". The end result (equals) is obviously going to be variable as well. The solution is writing an equation that interrelates all these and has a end result that works for me. Tackling this "head on" , with my conscious mind, I can not get there. So I "put in an order" and put my brain to work while sleeping. I should point out that dreams are often ignorant of common sense and the laws of nature. We often wake up and although we were totally accepting what was happening as real during the dream, "obviously not possible", not reality, sometimes "thank goodness that was a dream"!

On January 30th I posted on Facebook:

"Eureka! The breakthrough we have all been waiting for fully gelled at 7:15 PM PST on January 30, 2016. This was actually staring me in the face for months now, yet I failed to see it. I credit a successful experiment with lucid dreaming last night."

On Feb 2nd: "Another HUGE breakthrough! Once again, a whole new world has opened up and new ideas are flooding in as fast I can write them down. Field testing of these new concepts is going to be so much fun!"

On Feb 3rd :"Good things come in threes? Well, it's day #3 of breakthroughs and epiphanies. Physics research is paying off big time. What almost everyone ,who thinks they know anything about what I am working on, would consider an insurmountable obstacle (as I did yesterday) , I now believe to be an advantage that I intend to exploit!"

"Dream Dare 1" is the name I have given the prototype that will be built and tested this spring in absolute secrecy. I have to say that even now it seems to be an improbable and impossible idea. The breakthrough idea that my brain came up with assumes a "leap of faith" unproven hypothesis that I can not even envision a way to evolve there or even test; it truly is a revolutionary idea.
The prototype will test this hypothesis.
It will either work or it won't!
We will no doubt learn something in the process.

Before wrapping this up, I need to explain WHY I am so excited. Dream Dare 1 does not just meet the criteria for a successful solution. It EXCEEDS by a YUGE margin , providing capabilities I had not even thought of. An incredible invention, let's just hope it works!

Please vote for Bernie Sanders for President

Thanks!

Peter Schulzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06551052015690243802noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7798452808513333595.post-16367863075852896702015-12-25T10:06:00.000-08:002015-12-25T10:06:26.022-08:00Merry ChristmasAnd a Happy New Year!

I'm happy to announce that Disruptive Wind has a name at last for the new toy:

The Instigator (TM) Wave Maker !

Instigator (TM) being the trademarked brand , and wave maker being the descriptive term.

I was not planning to, but I ended up spending over a month out of the country, 4 weeks of that on a remote tropical island. A great place to windsurf, kiteboard, dive, snorkel, surf, kayak, paddleboard, etc.. I windsurfed to another island 2 1/2 miles away and set a new speed record on the broad reach return of over 30 MPH! I also rode a peeling wave that was over mast high on my seventh journey out into the sea! I think this will be a great place to hold a pro camp to train folks on the Instigator (TM) once we are at that point. Imagine some of the best talent on the planet getting together for a 2 week long party, paid for by their sponsors at a fantastic place I'm sure most have never been. The food is delicious, staff is awesome, and the Instigator (TM) so much fun! Because we are designing it to be.

I wish I could say more, but our competitors (at least some of them) are already scrambling to improve their products and sales pitches. This is a good thing if we can stand out from that but since we are not that far along yet, I do not want to give too much advantage away. We are still looking at various business plans/models and performing literally thousands of thought experiments so that our upcoming physical R & D costs will be minimized.

I have spent a lot of time the past couple of months "zooming out" on our business. 2015 saw a number of new inventions which are mostly being put on hold as we "zoom in" again to focus on the Instigator (TM). The MoaB (TM) repositioner is not forgotten, we will be continuing to revamp the prototype fleet, and expect to continue to showcase and develop. The plan is to always have something going, and back up plans should there be stall out (or buy out or bail out!) . After all, this is my one and only job now, and I am 100% committed to making this company a success !

All for now, have a great New Year, we plan to !

Peter Schulzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06551052015690243802noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7798452808513333595.post-8394371487378702822015-10-31T19:08:00.000-07:002015-10-31T19:08:22.216-07:00Passionate inventing and the grand visionGreetings
I thought I'd get a few thoughts out before I disappear for awhile.

First off. Yes, I am working on something big, really big. It's been the plan all along. The MoaB (TM) repositioner was supposed to be a slam dunk and finance the larger project.
However, it seems to be a 'binary" idea that was before it's time.
We all learned a lot in the process and I certainly do not regret having taken that route.
In fact, keys concepts were revealed that are proving crucial to moving forward.
Also, technology, materials, and wind/water sports have progressed, as well as my own education.
I came up with the big idea a number of years ago, which is actually a collection of concepts put together that satisfy some great "What if you could" questions. Interspersed among the MoaB field sessions has been some top secret testing of these concepts. I now know most of them do work in practice and theoretically they may work together. A LOT of time and energy is going into design work, engineering, and planning. Some serious science, especially physics/math. is involved.

I love to invent from scratch. It's easier to think outside the box that way. Conventional wisdom is both an enemy and an opportunity. Questioning and determining the validity of that wisdom is a lot of work and most do not ever do so. It is much easier to build upon the work of others. Once I have a good hypothesis going, THEN I look and see what others have done and what the conventional wisdom is. Often, this means a dead end or someone has beat me to it. But if I can find a flaw, or a truth not well known, then I may be onto something.

I look at "working the problem", a rock climbing expression. For me to have success, this usually means I have to be a little bit obsessed. I think about it all times of the day and night whenever I have any thought free to spare. Our brains are very interesting in how so much is done not by conscious thought, I think this explains why I am never bored, I always have an interesting problem to work on. It is critical to maintain my interest and motivation that I be passionate about whatever it is I am working on.

Back to the grand idea. This is really out there. Probably another binary idea and potentially way ahead of it's time. A fair amount of "but"s and "however"s seem likely. I believe the route to success on this one is an advanced prototype that reliably proves the concepts in a manner that is not open to question. I have a vision of how to do this: a video production that blows peoples minds. Basically a stunt to start off with that has never been done before, followed by footage that shows beyond a doubt the amazing things now possible that makes folks exclaim "I want to do that! Can I buy one of those?" And this is the video that will be shown only to those I want to partner with to make the answer "YES!" I'm talking drone footage, on-board cameras, on-water cameras, on-shore, and on the rider, hopefully using something like Google Glass to show operational parameters in real time from monitoring sensors and GPS. The script is written and a lot of folks will be involved. On a need to know basis only.

Execution: A lot of folks and companies will be involved before this ever gets to the public eye. This is a huge project. Maybe too ambitious. It may be that just one new concept is rolled out at first or that not all concepts will be included. In any event, do not expect this to available any time soon.

Secrecy: Some have heard I am up to something big and are worried. I apologize for this. I can say that there is no plan to disrupt current industry, despite our name! I see this as a huge boost to almost all concerned. Spying or hacking is not necessary but will be fruitless even if attempted. There are no prototypes kept at any of our known locations or in vehicles. We have secure locations that are secret. No files on computers that ever connect to the internet. No notebooks,No documents. Computers are with me personally as I travel or are secured at previously mentioned locations. Past experience has shown me to be way too paranoid about this, but I would rather be safe than sorry nonetheless.

So there you have it. I talked at length but you have no clue still. Even if you do, you really probably don't. I am a master of misdirection, me thinks. I have tried not to tease, but to give reassurance that I have a grand plan but that much patience will be required before seeing the results.

By the way, I quit my day job to give my full brainpower to this. I'm nothing but serious about making this happen!
Been quiet lately because we are working on a top secret project and it just seems cruel to tease folks. Greetings!
Here is a little fun video.
My windsurfer took a trip without me!

Working on more videos but the opportunities to showcase in stronger wind and larger swells keep happening , thus generating even more awesome video than what we already have, so I am now farther behind than ever!

This was what it was doing at Marker 40 at The Wall yesterday (August 14, 2015).
I was out on the water at the windiest time of the day and I was completely BY MYSELF
at Marker 40 and Peach Beach. I could see some folks out at Maryhill and when I returned from my journey back to the launch at Marker 41, there was the largest crowd I have ever seen, including the likes of Wyatt Miller, Anna Rohden, John Akagi, and Tyson Poor. It was quite a bit mellower there with a lot less wind and much smaller swell, but all looked to be having a great time.
The day I had was BEYOND EPIC as I was more than "generously" powered on a 5.0 Loft sail and my 90 liter Fish with Moab (TM) repositioner. The largest river swells I have ever windsurfed on, at times I just let the sail vane out and held on with one hand. I sure hope the cameras caught some of this incredible action.
One thing is certain. I have pushed the limits well beyond what I thought was possible. Each session tops the last one in terms of new moves, longer "ski rides", faster jibes, confidence to "mix it up" with the pros, and to showcase in front of the crowds and cameras. My next video is tentatively titled
"Buzzing the Hatch", using footage from August 4, where we launched from Swell City on a "Big Day" and took fun swell rides and downwind blasts past the Hatchery.
I would have done better yesterday at The Wall, except that I had the longest session of my Disruptive Wind career the day before (August 13, 2015) with what I am calling "The Tour".
Launched at Waterfront Park in Hood River on the FoaB with 5.7 Loft. Kept blasting by this guy in a Zodiac as he headed downriver, past the kiter crowd off the new spit, Wells Island, The Hatchery, and finally to Swell City. I think I can claim ANOTHER FIRST as I believe I was potentially photographed AT EVERY LOCATION he was at on our journey together. I did not realize he was a photographer at first as he was having a challenging time getting through the sizable swells.

Update: Here are links to the Stawacki photos:
http://www.iwasphotographed.com/Wind/Wells-Island/Wells-Island-Photos-Thu-Aug-13/
10+ photos. At start and again at #4738 and on

http://www.iwasphotographed.com/Wind/Swell-City/Swell-City-to-Cheap-Beach-Phot/
4 photos starting at #4864 for Swell City and 6+ photos at #5075 vicinity for Cheap Beach

There may be photos at the Hatch and Event Site/waterfront park as well but I did not see any after a brief search, he was mostly traveling as I circled him over a dozen times.

Spending too much time wave riding, etc., I was unhooked so much that my left arm swelled with blood and I could barely grip with my left hand. So I wisely decided to blast back to the launch and may have set new speed records as this board is extremely fast and stable hard off the wind. Both cameras had shut down to to lack of memory and/or battery power, so there may not be documentation of this thrilling ending to an amazing day.

In other news, I am busy working on engineering, design refinement, and plans for construction of prototypes for 2 new inventions that will complement the MoaB (TM) repositioner, but actually are completely stand alone ideas. Pretty ambitious, and testing is going to be a bit of a challenge, as it continues to be SOP for me to be "mobbed" at any public launches. However, I have a number of "secret" launches, and private launches (such as Club Shred) at our disposal.

I want to thank all those helping me behind the scenes, you will be part of history, and in the videos and future blog posts (with your consent). Again, my email is disruptivewind@gmail.com.
Shorter, more frequent updates on Facebook
( Disruptive Wind ).

( I hope to edit this post and add pictures later as I finally get to review footage, however, all our hard drives are full right now (8-18-15 update, now dealing with 5 hard drives and over 7 (seven!) TERABYTES of data) so it may be awhile...)

Greetings!

None of us wants to get hurt.

We all know windsurfing is a dangerous, high - adrenaline sport, especially in strong gusty wind, rough water, waves, etc..

Upon first sight of a MoaB (TM) repositioner prototype ,

a common question I am asked is "Is it safe?",

often followed by "That looks scary!"

To which I usually respond with a speech about how the foot-decks will rotate to let your feet out to avoid the dreaded forward "trapped foot" fall (see picture above) , but even if odds are against you and the foot-deck does not rotate, it will pull out of the track with a force similar to a ski binding release. I know this through my own experience. And a pulled out foot-deck is a whole lot easier and cheaper to rectify than a pulled out foot strap screw or insert.

(yes, I should do a video on this topic).

Trying something new is scary and the potential for getting hurt is always there during any learning curve. Having habits in place does offer safety. Knowing what not to do helps as well.

However, the unforeseen is what can get you,

no matter how good you are.

This leads into my final point here. I have have been in a lot of discussions lately about jibing, gybing, learning to foil, gybing while foiling, etc. I am talking to world authorities and industry insiders who live and breathe this stuff. And one of them just said to me

" One of the most dangerous things you can do while windsurfing is to take one foot out of a fixed strap while the other one is still in. If the unforeseen hits you at that instant..."

What hit me at the instant he said that is "We used to do that every time we gybe!"

He made my day!

I'm going on walkabout to renew, refresh, and get ready to move forward, so I'll be gone for the rest of this week. Take care, and be safe out there! - Peter

Lots of great stuff happening but this one stood out. What if I told you I could switch stance while windsurfing in challenging conditions and be TOE SIDE TO THE WIND with the sail downwind of my body and then slam a gybe! No way! Well, here is video to prove it and my friend Rich Mitchell cruising by upwind as a reference to show wind direction. MoaB (TM) repositioner: it's just beginning...

I never even would have thought this was possible but I was asked if I could ride "toe side" to the wave on the MoaB (TM ) repositioner. I misunderstood what was being asked and this breakthrough move is the result. It just goes to show that this thing is capable of more than I have even begun to imagine! Critical observers please note: this was my FIRST EVER attempt at this, in very challenging conditions (equipment and bodies were being broken this day) as the wind was 10 to 40 MPH plus, very gusty, with the rough water to go along with it. As I was moving along in the backwards stance, the wind dropped completely and the gybe was done upon realizing this, by coasting only, with a very unimpressive exit.
Along with the new "Spider" gybe (spin/slide with fins disengaged/in the air) there is lots more to practice and have fun with!

Today's post starts with the latest update from the Indigogo campaign at:

http://igg.me/at/disruptivewind/x/11426751

"Slashing prices again. Dropped the Europe down payment option to $10,000 USD ! Questions have been raised about why we do not have video of screaming carving gybes on flat water. Or loops! The honest answer to that is two-fold: Flat water with strong steady wind is non-existent locally, but even more importantly, it just never occurred to me that THE MUCH EASIER thing to do would be something that would impress anyone knowledgeable. Same story with loops.
We are a very small company. If we could hire hot young windsurfing babes to be doing all this and filming from a helicopter, or water cameras costing many thousands, and spending many thousands more getting "big names" to tout our product and paying magazines and PR firms big bucks as well, plus, eye-catching prototypes with hologram graphics, then it would have been a whole different story, wouldn't it?
From a technical standpoint, I could not be happier. All of the latest generation of prototypes have performed great! Every time out on the water we learn something new, and realize that exploring the possibilities has only just begun!"

The Reluctant Entrepreneur

I have been looking at video taken recently with an eye towards editing and creating new videos to publish. This is a very time consuming process which takes many times longer than capturing the video to begin with (also, there are at least 2 cameras). And there is a lot of great stuff. The problem is that I have to pick from all this great stuff : analysis paralysis. And since I am the one who did the stuff (currently, that will change again as we get beta tester video), I can relate the video to being there, and realize just how amazing it was to achieve what is seen, and the technical significance. The problem is that other viewers of the video know none of this, and only expert windsurfers, who have done the same thing, have any hope of picking up on the subtle nuances.

And then another field session happens, and even more great stuff is captured, and now I am even further behind! And the constant phone calls, e-mails, letters, Facebook PM's, job at the lab, mouths to feed, engines to replace, life! : This is the joyful (?) hell of the reluctant entrepreneur! Toss in a last minute proud-funding campaign because the patent filing deadlines are fast approaching and... well, I apologize that I can not make everyone happy, but I promise you, I may have to scale back and refocus, but I will continue on, to the best of my ability. Thank you!

Crazy, but I'm going to let this board go to someone who will get much more joy out of it and hopefully show it off! The only perk you can play with right away! Taking a loss at $1500 to help spread the joy...

Upgraded with the latest prototype, latest footdecks, spare parts, and product support for one year. Basically, the board that would go to a beta tester. Free delivery and instruction if to the Columbia River Gorge area. I'll ship it elsewhere but you will have to share costs of doing so (shipping, packaging, tax, import fees, etc.). A very fun and fast board but not designed for wave riding. My style has caused me to "pearl" it (nose in and crash) a few times! Probably just me but be aware there is very little nose rocker, probably one of the reasons it is so fast and stable in the chop.

If, for any reason the prototype is not your cup of tea, it can be removed entirely and fixed foot straps reinstalled. That's the beauty of our add on concept, no changes to the underlying board required!

The proud-funding campaign at Indiegogo : http://igg.me/at/disruptivewind/x/11426751

has been a huge success, although I apologize to Indiegogo for not making them a single cent so far.

Perhaps this latest HUGE TWIST will do the trick for them. Certainly we have given them a lot of publicity, as the media has run with the "fluffy factor" (I have no idea, just repeating what they told me and I did not want to seem ignorant) as well as the unique concepts introduced using their platform. I was well aware of Indiegogo's "gogofactor algorithm" and used that to advantage to generate interest in over 50 countries! I sincerely thank all of my great friends who took time out of their busy lives to lend a hand. Thank you!

OK, let's get to it. Obviously. we had our sights set on Europe as it is the largest current market and, frankly, most receptive to new concepts. However, the unitary patent seems unlikely to be fully ratified soon enough for our needs. I run the huge risk of overextending Disruptive Wind by being too greedy. The goal is for Disruptive Wind to thrive and to get this concept out there in a manner that gives it the greatest chance to be taken seriously. So we are going to focus locally. Also, and I want to be really careful about how I say this, we have serious interest in a synergistic opportunity to couple our innovation with other innovation that has more of a "WOW factor". If there is one drawback to this campaign, it is "How are we going to do this in secret now?" I am going to try not to worry about it too much.

REVERSE AUCTION of EUROPE details
Starting price of $70,000 USD (about 65,000 EUR) gives a contract to assign a Europatent (or any combination of countries covered by the PCT) application that YOU file,
And, a $15,000 perk option for a down payment to lock in the sale to you (as long as no one else pays full price before we can remove the perk. If that happens, full refund to you.)
Also, $10,000 USD perk add on option available if you want me to file it. Ask around, this is a very good price! This price, as well as the down payment option, will not drop.

At least once each day, at times of my own choosing, the price will drop, until it sells. If someone buys it publicly OR privately, the perk will disappear. However, a private pending deal will not remove the perk, only a completed deal. Thus, a private deal has secondary rights only. I would suggest going through Indiegogo as their platform is impartial and there is no doubt who bought it first. I am not trying to scam anybody and I am very wary of myself or other potential buyers losing out as well.
If you want to privately make an offer below the current price, go right ahead.
I love creativity; feel free to offer up a trade, equity, licensing, surprise me.
Note that it will not be possible to bid higher once the perk is sold, a legit sale is a sale, done deal.
If you are a patent troll, please use Indiegogo. It does not judge.
For those interested, countries in bold and/or capitalized are those from which there has been interest as of this posting (or update) . My apologies if I have missed you!

Note that the Europatent has significant fees after the filing. It can be filed in English. But to obtain final grants in some countries may require translation. Also, maintenance fees in Europe are high. This is a huge and significant market for windsurfing, so it may well be worth the cost. Please do your due diligence. Also, the examiners there are "tough" and may not grant as comprehensive a patent as was obtained in the US, or may not even grant one at all.

Best of luck and enjoy the show!
The latest video is here to help perplexed windsurfers understand what is different here and why I am so excited about it. It finally dawned on me that my stance has changed from a typical surfer "stand sideways to the board" to a more skier like "face forward" with the ever present option to switch to either side depending on the situation and my whims. This really is a new freedom I have never experienced before. I am looking forward to sharing it and exploring it further!
In other news, expect a BIG change very soon with the proud-funding campaign at
Starting over thanks to an offer from Seoul that has nothing to do with the proud -funding campaign located here: http://igg.me/at/disruptivewind/x/11426751

Here is the update I posted on the campaign:

"Completely unrelated to the campaign, I have received an offer from Seoul for Korea, Japan, and China. I'm going to keep them available until a deal is near, but as a package instead (warning, the price may change as things progress). The nature of the offer has us rethinking the premise of offering patent applications as perks. We are going to look instead at offering patent rights to countries instead. This is because the larger players have their own legal teams that can file the applications themselves for less cost. I have to build in a buffer to offer the filed application, otherwise I could suffer a loss on the deal. Therefore, if you want the easy (but more expensive) filed application, act soon or alternatively, you can still deal with me directly later. Expect an easier to understand video as well (Worst Gybe Ever was not originally meant to be the lead video, but was put in last minute as a placeholder and then things got crazy!)."

Bottom line: Now I'm offering rights instead of filed applications!
And now I can offer incredible deals and make things much simpler for me to manage.

I still will offer filed applications at the prices previously listed on this blog, but you will have to contact me directly at disruptivewind@gmail.com .

How cheap? Well, Cuba or Mexico can be now had for $800 USD each!

I'm now offering the entire African continent (all PCT countries, around 50 total)

that includes Egypt and South Africa for only $4000!

I must reiterate that under the new structure you will bear the cost and time involved to find lawyers and pay them to file the application (although in some cases you can do this yourself, especially if it is your country). In some countries, the patent must be translated from English. This is a comprehensive and lengthy patent that I estimate at almost 10,000 words! If you can not do this yourself, it could cost over $1000 for translation.

Also, very important (and the whole reason for the rushed campaign and cheap prices), all applications must be filed by September 25, 2015 or October 25, 2015, depending on the country.

The African List: (I apologize if I miss any and please note that not every country is a PCT member)

Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Libya

OAPI regional patent application:

Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Togo

ARIPO regional patent application:

Botswana, Ghana, Gambia, Kenya, Liberia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nambia, Rwanda, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
